Unfortunately, the front desk staff didn’t seem to care about customer service. Although we asked for early check-in for two rooms, we did not get it. As a matter fact, one of the rooms wasn’t even ready until 5 o’clock. And then then, unfortunately, they gave us a room with one king bed instead of two double beds, which is what we requested. When we pointed this out, they said there were no rooms available on that floor and our family had to be split up between two floors. Also, disappointing that they don’t offer free Wi-Fi considering the cost. The shower in our room was almost impossible to work. The hotel is severely understaffed in terms of cleaning services, which is why they explained it took so long for us have our room ready. Also, their signature cookies have walnuts in them, despite the fact that so many have nut allergies

We asked for two rooms for our 4-person family. We asked for early arrival. Turns out our 1st room wasn’t ready till regular check in (4:00). Our second room wasn’t ready till 5:00. And they gave us a room with a queen bed even though we asked for two doubles. The people working at the front desk were young, inexperienced, and didn’t seem to care about customer service. We got a lot of attitude.

This was a great place to stay. Some parts are dated. However the staff and amenities made it great. The rooms and balcony area was amazing.

Everything was outdated. This is the only hotel I’ve been in in the last decade that charged for Wi-Fi. As we were checking in, the staff was arguing with another customer about this. Front desk folks seemed a little cold…The elevator was tiny & seemed to struggle getting our family of four up to our floor. On the plus side, our room appeared clean.

The beds are small and uncomfortable. They have doubles for 2 people. You can also hear the people above you anytime they got up and walked around all night .

First and foremost, the staff at this Doubletree is fantastic. Everyone... front desk, restaurant, housekeeping. Great people, which is a sure sign of great management/leadership. Further, the facility itself is wonderfully well kept/maintained. Clean and neat and orderly and squared away. On the downside, it is probably a full mile to walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. It’s totally flat (no hills) and pretty much a straight shot a couple blocks east on Foothill and south on Indian Hill, but if you don't like a little walk, a cab or another ride is your only option. In the main, a great place to stay if you find yourself in Claremont.

Room was large and staff at check in very friendly. Pillows hard as sacks of flour and bed hard and uncomfortable also. The "air freshener" smell in the room and hall was overpowering.

I have stayed here 3 times. Overall the property is confusing. My room was 4316 located on the THIRD floor. Signs indicate ice machine is at the East Stairwell. Locals may know which way is East, but I rarely know my directions in a strange place. I had trouble finding the restaurant (which I have been to on several other occasions). All it would take for my 5th star would be better signage.
