“I Love The Aruba!!!”

The Aruba is a great historic motor inn on one of the older sections of the strip, representative of "Old Vegas" and the good old days of Sin City. It is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar and the food are also great. It is a breath of fresh air to stay somewhere in Las Vegas where you can actually park your car close to your room, and you don't have to walk a mile or more between the registration desk and your room (or wait 20 minutes for an elevator!). Gone are also the incessant ringing of slot machines. Heaven! It may be "no frills," but for me this place is luxury compared to the impersonal, inconvenient, and expensive big casino hotels. Long live the Aruba!!!

“Wake up and smell the coffee”

I just got back from spending three days and two nights at the Aruba, and I thought it was the best Hotel I had stayed at in Las Vegas for several years now. Let's start with the check-in: The lady at the desk was very kind and helpful. Somehow Expedia booked me a non-smoking room instead of a smoking room, she fixed it for me right away, and with no extra charge. Now for the room: VERY Clean, no stains, or knife holes like some had mentioned, Beds were comfortable, No Smells, AC worked just fine, I COULD NOT hear anything from any other room, it was very quiet, and while the hotel was not Packed Full, it was not empty either. It was a Convention Weekend in Las Vegas, after all. All my lights and Night Lights worked, Fresh Coffee every morning, Ironing board, Iron, and Hair dryer all worked, Hot Running water all the time. More than enough Clean towels. No loud Music from the Pool, which was right outside my door. Now for checkout, couldn't have been easier, just turned in my card keys and left (3 hours after official check out time I might add) no problems at all. I have to say, when I read the reviews for this hotel I was a little gun shy about staying here, But I was impressed at the much higher level of professionalism and cleanliness than otherwise stated. Oh, and Yes the Cabs know where the Aruba is. All in all this ranks among the best Hotels I have ever stayed in (including Casinos), and I've stayed in alot.

“Live where I want!”

The Pool and Thunderbird Lounge are nice, but they need room serivce again. Management makes up for alot that is missing and most will have a good time.

“I would recommend to anyone single and on a budget.”

I wouldn't recommend to family or someone with high expectations, but if you're on a budget this is a great hotel. It is just a little off the strip (between the strip and downtown). 5 minute walk to The Statosphere. The hotel itself is good, the area is a little questionable.

“Decent Place”

A little off the strip on the dark side, but friendly staff, a reasonable price, and a good sleep!
