Fairly good location.
It was a long walk to the centre of the action, theme park, restaurants, pub and coffee shops. Like a 15 minutes walk. But good exercise. Even with a power converter we could not charge anything, phone , computer or toothbrushes. Nothing could fit. Also NO wifi. They told us to go order food in the restaurant in the lobby and we would get a password. We bought food but still never got on-line. It was a big deception for us. I was waiting for important business e-mail to come in. The rest was Ok.

Old hotel with basic facilities
Family of 5, couple and 3 kids. Stayed for 2 nights. 2 de luxe rooms booked separately. Rooms almost opposite each other though requested for side by side or directly opposite. Fast check in, no required deposit. No air conditioner, only wall fan but just enough because room temperature ranges between 27-30*c. Have kettle, hair dryer, towels, drinking glass, liquid and bar soap. Can get water (hot and cold) thru the water dispenser in front of elevator. Queen size bed and a daytime bed. Room and toilet were spacious and clean. A quiet room if not of the door bell sets to a maximum volume. The floor needed more vacuum. Elevator is fast. Convenient store and coffe shop at the ground floor and they sell @ fair price. Outdoor rides outside of hotel but closed for renovation and will open in 2016. Have mini park where u can sit and relax just prepare yourself of freezing cold. Best time to do photo shoot is @1-3pm which is less foggy. Easy access to hotels nearby. You can take the covered bridge or an outdoor short cut to The First World Hotel were you find the indoor rides, activities, shops and foods. A bit far from the skycable station. We got the best deals when we booked on-line 3 months earlier. Genting Highlands is one of the best places to go in SEA. Skyway ride was the best experience not to be missed. The theme Park Hotel must make sure to keep their price reasonable as other hotels nearby are newer and upgraded. Over all stay ... affordable! :)

Great stay
Great location. Very appropriately priced. Amazing mountain view, could not have been better. No wifi, which is a pain but not a big worry. Our booking stated a refrigerator in the room but there was none. MInor detail but disconcerting. Overall would gladly stay again.

excellent and beautiful place to bring the whole family. The children loves it and wish to come here again in the future. Eventhough the outdoor games were closed but the indoor games still satisfied the children. For sure we will come here again. Well done genting

For AUD42/night I expected a bit more. Having said that the room was clean and the view was fantastic. I got the front view of the First World hotel as requested.

Excellent place to stay at Genting Highlands.
It was a great bargain offer booked through Expedia, The Hotel is at the heart of this lovely hill station of Malaysia, with all the parks, casino, eateries, Rope way all interconnected by escalators and walkways. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the stay. The hotel needs to provide little more warm blankets/extra blankets as the temp at night really goes too cold.

Very nice and cozy rooms, valley facing
1. I was allowed to check in at 12:30 pm ( regular time is 3:00 pm) 2. Room was at 10 th floor and valley facing. 3. very nice view of valley and awana hotel. 4. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. 5. Tea kettle, fridge, safe locker was provided. 6. Drinking water tabs are available at every floor, in case you run out of you 2 bottles. ( hot and cold) That's all.. nice too stay for a week at-least !!!!!

Experiance of staying in genting was good because genting itself is a good place but if i say about hotel i recommend grand hotel or maxim because they have indian restaurant and beautiful rooms also Here rooms are like old style hotels no proper architecture dirty bathrooms

Overall just ok. Shower holder broken and after complained still not fixed properly. Location is great as it is next to Theme park entrance. Across the road is a 24 hour Kopitiam. With the Theme Park view room you will get the automatic "screaming" for the wake up cal !! :-)

Surprisingly, it is better condition than I expect. The room has been renovated; clean and new. But hotel should improve on bathroom amenities. Better request for garden view room if need more peaceful at night :p

Clean, economical and functional hotel.
If you are looking for a cheap, clean and functional room to enjoy in Genting, Theme park hotel is suitable. But for families with elderly people, it may be quite a walk up and down to the main dining or casinos. Not suggested for families with young babies too if you need to carry too many things moving around the park. it is near to the outdoor park but since this will be shut down, the advantage is gone.

Great scenery
I and my partner had overnight stay in ur hotel room. So far I am satisfied with the politeness of ur staff during our stay.the location is something I must tell. there was a small garden where the view was so fantastic for photography. But the price rate during the day I booked (via phone) was quite expensive even it was on Thursday due to limited room... The hotel decoration quite poor. Improve on that.

Always switch our choice back to this hotel
The room we stayed is a Deluxe room, consists of 1 queen and 1 single beds which can accommodate 3 persons, but in fact can stay up to 4 adults plus 2 children in there because there is a long sofa that perfectly fitted beside the single bed one, and for the bed is spacious, can sleep 2 adults and 1 child on it.... when you are traveling with family, price really worth it. The room is newly renovated since the hotel itself built in 70's, I dunno whether they have renovated the entire rooms they have yet, because I ever stayed once 5 years ago in a valley-wing room consisted 2 queen beds and it was horrible that we could hear roar sound like gorillas outside the window (it is a thick jungle surrounding u know), and the room condition was old and very poor that we request to move the next day to a new equal room as we stayed few days ago. The location is good if you intend to play outdoor theme park, just a step away outside the hotel, but since we were only sightseeing, did a long walk to the shopping center and when got back to hotel, felt likely to sleep for the rest of day. We knew we should take the "rainbow" hotel with thousand budget rooms, but every time stuck on the rumor that many people had done suicide for losing in casino, so we always switched our choice back to Theme Park hotel. Anyway, it was a pleasant stay although my legs were tired that we spent almost the whole stay by sleeping only.

When I step into the room:- 1)there is a strong smell..like someone smoke before I step in room 2) there was a noise environment.. especially during the night time as nearby the main road a lot of car passing by 3) no toothbrush and toothpaste nt even slipper

A bit far from Shopping Centre
The hotel is a bit far from the shopping centre but near to the theme park. If your vacation involves outdoor, then, this hotel is suitable. I like the comfort of the room though this hotel should be upgraded.It seems like the bed is a bit old and the television requires replacement. Despite that, I believe this hotel is much more cleaner and slightly bigger than First World.

It was an old hotel which needs upgrades to meet 3 star hotel mark. The water closet was broken and it couldn't flushed the solid and liquid waste. No air-con. However, the view from the room was marvelous as in the morning could see Chin Swee temple.
