Loved staying at Soontreeya Koh Lanta! Don’t expect a luxurious 5-star resort, but these duplex bungalows a 2 min walk from the beach were so sweet. Beautiful pool open 24 hrs with pool bar, nice grounds, water refill station, super soft bed (unheard of in Thailand). Downsides were the wifi stopped working while we were there, and there was rarely anyone at the front desk. Also, difficult access because there is a fence blocking the road (have to walk through another resort or around the long way). Despite these minor things, we had a great time here and I would definitely come back!

Excellent stay
Great place to stay in Koh Lanta. Room is spacious, clean with fast wifi. Pool and restaurant area are fantastic if you want to stay within reach of room. Steps from the beach and main road for cafes/restaurants. Room is not cleaned everyday but you are made aware at check in. Would recommend if you are looking to stay near Long Beach/ Phra Ae.

Hotel could be great. Good location - but poor interest by management let’s it down. Room not cleaned once in four days. Pool was dirty and unkept. Reception rarely open. When occasionally used really bad service at pool bar. It was cheap - but so as you learn is everything else in low season.

The place was clean apart from a lot of ants, but found that in a few different places lately. The location was great right on the main part but set back from off the main road. A stones throw from the gorgeous beach. We didn’t get to use the pool as there was a storm the 2 nights we were there but it looked nice enough. Good for the price.

Quiet place close to beach. Very good price and therefore put up with lax cleaning of room, too soft mattress and other than the owner much of the staff could not help or did not know. Swimming pool kept nice and clean, breakfast often had items missing, better at other places. However location was great.

Comfy beds!
Most comfortable beds in the whole of Asia! Breakfast was good with a nice choice. The rooms were lovely and clean and the English receptionist was so lovely and helpful. The only thing I would say is, I was hoping to be on a beach where I could swim so we chose this based on the fact it's on long beach but this section and a while after is all rocks and you cant swim. But that's just me :) all round lovely hotel tho

Nice place but improvement needed
Overall, I liked this place but there are a few things that could be improved upon. The property was well kept, the pool area was nice, breakfast was decent ( although initially she was hesitant to give me breakfast vouchers, even though my reservation came with it ) , and it was close to the beach. Quite a few restaurant and bar options nearby as well (big party at korner bar close by on Saturday nights). The room was very spacious and had all of the amenities such as air conditioning, safe deposit box, and a mini fridge. I noticed quite a bit of little ants that were in the room, and I also found one of those giant caterpillars one night before bed, that was a bit of a turn off. Hosts were very nice and helpful regarding tours and vehicle rentals, but I definitely found better prices just up the road on the Main Street. There was also a very rank smell coming from the bathroom the entire time, it smelled like sewage. So I just kept the bathroom door closed, but it was pretty gross. I got a great deal for this place using Hotels.com, so I was happy with the value, but I don’t know if it would’ve been worth the full price.

Excellent hotel near the beach
Absolutely loved this hotel, the staff are so helpful and nice and will go out of their way to make sure you have a nice stay. The rooms are really nice and it is the best bed ever, so comfortable! Next to the beach and nice pool. Breakfast is really good! We loved our stay here.

Great place in Long Beach!
Had a great time at Soontreeya Lanta. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms/bungalows were very clean and comfortable, and the western-style breakfast was convenient and delicious. My boyfriend and I stayed here in early Feb and rented scooters on site. You can also rent beach towels.The location of this resort is perfect - situation in between Long Beach and Relax Bay. Plenty of options for beach time and food within walking distance. Would highly recommend Soontreeya Lanta. It was lovely.

Helpful staff, If you don't Want a very very soft bed do not stay here, having said that the owner swaped ours for theres which was a bit on the hard side. Very good of them all the same. Pool was in good order as were the rooms and bath rooms.

Awesome!
We chose Ko Lanta as our honeymoon trip and its our luck in finding this beautiful to stay. Soontreeya Lanta make us feel like home. We really love this place. The bungalows, the staff, the location, the cleanliness.. everything were great. Oh and the delicious pancake breakfast ever!! Soontreeya met all our expectations. Conor and Sa are the best hosts that we ever met. Conor is very friendly, while Sa help us in finding muslim restaurant and Miriam, the staff, advice us where we the best place to go in Ko Lanta. We rent a motorbike for only 200 bhat per day. And we were really really enjoy exploring the island. Definitely we will come again. Love from Malaysia:)

Rummen var fina. Sängen var väldigt mjuk. Baren som fanns vid polen var inte alls bra. De hade aldrig öppet de tider som de skrivit att de skulle ha. Det var även dåligt utbud i baren. Han som stod i baren kunde inte göra de flesta drinkar man frågade efter, som de ändå hade på menyn.

Jättebra och trevligt boende! Fräscht och bra AC. Ligger längst ner på Long Beach men med en kortare strandpromenad når man fler restauranger och mer liv. Vi är jättenöjda!

I forhold til prisen var opholdet rigtig godt. Dog ser her lidt slidt ud, det er især ved pool området. Det bliver ikke gjort rent ved pool området, de samme cigaret skodder lå der alle 3 dage. Egentligt er det små reparationer og en fejning som ville få det til at se rigtig fint ud. Personalet var søde. Hotellet ligger tæt på stranden, men det er stor sten strand hvor man ikke kan ligge. Man skal lige gå lidt så er der en rigtig fin sandstrand

Rätt läge mellan stora vägen och stranden.
Hotellet ligger i ett lugnt område och man slipper att korsa den relativt hårt trafikerade vägen när man går till stranden. Hotellet är mycket välskött och deras service är bra. Passar bäst för par p.g.a. utformningen med små hus om vardera två lägenheter med ett rum. Frukosten var god, dock upplevde vi det som tråkigt att man endast kunde välja mellan färdiga små menyer. Det känns alltid bäst att själv kunna komponera samman vad man vill ha till frukost. Personalen i restaurangen var mycket trevlig och maten smakade gott. När det gäller a la carte upplevde vi det tråkigt att de delade ut en fin meny för att direkt efter berätta att de tyvärr endast kunde erbjuda ca hälften av maträtterna. Hotellets pool är jättefin och passar perfekt att besöka t.ex. efter ett besök på närmaste strand som man når via en rak stig ca 200 meter som går utanför hotellet. Stranden ör helt ok, dock lite småstenigt vid lågvatten. Vid högvatten är den helt ok då sanden kommer tillbaka och täcker småstenar, vilket gör stranden "badvänlig". Inom kort gångavstånd når man ytterligare tre bra badstränder bl.a. Long Beach. Slutintrycket är "ett prisvärt och fint hotell med bra läge".

Hyvä ja siisti hotelli lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä rannasta. Kiva pieni uima-allas. Todella ystävällinen ja avulias henkilökunta. Aamiainen oli hyvä ja valittavana oli monta vaihtoehtoa. Vietimme hotellissa viikon ja viihdyimme erinomaisesti. Menisin ehdottomasti tähän hotelliin uudelleen!

Ok looking place at first sight, helpful reseptionist and good location. After all I didn't slept at all because there was cochroaches so I had to keep lights on. Mattres was dirty also. Reseption closes 20 pm so couldn't say anything about insect -situation. Not worth of 3stars. Kiva respa. Hyvä sijainti.Torakoita ja likainen patja. En tykännyt. Ei ole 1,5-2 tähteä olisi oikea arvio.

Living things in our bungalow
We found two cockroaches within the first 8 hours in the room. One of them was really big. We found some weird larva sitting on the wall around the closet. The room was generally really dusty, I don’t even wanna guess when the lamps were last cleaned, all of them.. Bed was the softest we had in Thailand. Tv didn’t work when we arrived and worked the last night of our 3 night stay. Even with the ac our room was pretty moist so nothing ever dried and the pillow got a funky smell because of it. There were a lot of small things that made our overall score not too good. But they had cats on the grounds and it was a nice setting. Pool was nice and breakfast was small but good.

Hübsches Hotel mit viel Verbesserungsbedarf
Das Soontreeya ist ein hübsches kleines Hotel. Wir waren in der endenden Nebensaision dort. Leider fehlt die Liebe zum Detail. Die Anlage ist scheinbar mit gutem Konzept geplant aber schlecht gepflegt. Die Matten auf den Pool liegen sind voller Wasser durch den Regen und innen verschimmelt. In der ganzen Anlage und am Pool liegt viel Laub welches nur teilweise beseitigt wird. Die Bar ist teilweise unbesetztund wenn nicht dauert der Service lange. Die Zimmer sind okay entsprechen in der günstigen Kategorie aber nicht den Bildern im Internet. Ein Lob möchte ich für das Personal aussprechen! Bei Fragen und Problemen haben Sie immer gut geholfen.

Rolige omgivelser med få gæster. Dejligt poolområde og restaurant. Der er en lækker balkon til lejligheden. Wifi er rigtig godt. Døren til lejligheden lukker ikke helt tæt, så vi havde besøg af lidt geckoer og myg.

Superschön. Sehr nette Gastgeber, Essen top, Zimmer top, Pool top. Das einzige negative war das mir das Bett zu weich war aber da kann man es halt nicht jeden Recht machen. Wenn ich mal wieder nach Koh Lanta komme dann sicher wieder Soontreeya.

Séjour sympatique au Soontreeya!
Koh Lanta était notre 2ème étape thaïlandaise cette année pour 6 jours et donc 5 nuits au Soontreeya. Le séjour au Soontreeya s'est super bien passée, le personnel est chaleureux et le boss est toujours prêt à guider les voyageurs pour les bons plans de l'île. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal car central sur l'île, ce qui permet d'être proche de tout. Au niveau restauration, le petit déjeuner était très bon également. Notre bungalow nous a plus, par contre, il faisait très (trop) chaud dans la salle de bain qui est dépourvu de fenêtre! Le lit est grand mais son matelas est mou. Nous avons également loué un scooter pour 250bth/jour, ce n'était pas un modèle tout neuf mais il n'y a eu aucun problème. Cet hôtel est un bon point de chute sur Koh Lanta, allez-y!

Nous avons pu apprécier la qualité des équipements et du service dans ce boutique hôtel plein de charme. Grace à un patron très accueillant et efficace, une réceptionniste de très bons conseils et très serviable qui nous a réserve nos excursions et nos transferts, nous avons passé un séjour très agréable au Soontreya Lanta. Notre chambre était très confortable et suffisamment spacieuse pour une famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants (3 et 12 ans). Très bons petits déjeuners pris au bord de la piscine dans un cadre tranquille et serein. Excellent séjour et très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Litet trevligt hotell, 5 min från stranden.
Själva hotellområdet är välstädat och fint. Det är 0,5-2 minuters promenad mellan rummen och poolen. Restaurangen ligger i anslutning till poolen. Det är ca 5 min promenad till första restaurangen på stranden sen ligger det flera efter varandra.

Waren insgesamt 6 Nächte in diesem Hotel und haben unseren Aufenthalt richtig genossen! Die Bungalows in der Anlage sind richtig toll. Auch der Servicegedanke der Mitarbeiter ist hervorragend! Nähe zum Strand ist auch vorhanden. Circa eine Minute Fußweg. Allerdings ist der Strandabschnitt relativ felsig. Baden ist dort nur schwer möglich! Aber dafür bietet das Hotel eine schöne Poolanlage...
