I’ve stayed here several times. It needs a bit of work to be updated and really clean, but pretty great for a beach bungalow resort. Such kind people.

Good resort well located on Long Beach. Nice pool area but you need to have more sun loungers and especially parasols. Also need to get a grip on the selfish people who take all the Best loungers by placing their towels early on then not even going to the pool until hours later. Good beach bar with good food. Good breakfast menu in main hotel.

Amazing private garden suite with hot tube.
Everything was excelent. Big suite with completely private garden and hot tube (also extremely hot water possible). Comfortable bed and perfectly cleaned every day. Great outside pool. The suite is right in the begining of long beach (10 second walk to the beach) From the suite it is a 5 min walk to main road or reception. Minimart is directly across the main road. 7eleven is 10 min walk alongside the main road. Also shuttle from reception to suite is available to transfer you and your luggage. The staff is nice and helpful (transport tuk-tuk and airport van booked by the staff was even cheaper than on the street or nerby agencies).

Average. The resort was generous with towels & bottled water. The breakfast was nice each day. The resort is not on the beach. The WiFi was very weak. My biggest disappointment was that only one key was allowed. That is VERY inconvenient when you are a family of 4 going in different directions. When you take the key & leave the room, the power, including AC, goes off. The beds are very hard. The staff is very nice though.

A rainy stay on a beautiful island
Bed was like a rock, room service was advertised but none exsistenet. A bottle of water by the pool cost three times more than the UK. The hotel was dead, which isn’t the fault of the owners BUT there should have still be an element of services offered. Front desk were lovely, limited English but we all got by which is fine. Hotel taxi ripped us off.

Rip off and a con! Bad vibe and bad energy
Old run down ghost town hotel! Dirty pools and nothing at all like any pictures we had seen! Sink blocked,water leaked from roofin the bathroom and from the air on, main pool side bar was filthy and staff on theresphones don’t even acknowledge you are there. Only happy if you tip them.

Great resort
We spent a few nights here. Simply superb. End of Octomber, must be the low season, hardly any other guests, we had the place to ourselves. It was totally deserted. Superb room. Large resort, you get dropped to your room in a little tuk tuk. Loads of space in the room for all your baggage. Very comfortable room, with a balcony. Three large swimming pools & the superb beach at the back, a short walk away. Over 3 km long, soft white sand, gentle lapping waves, clear water. This place is a real gem. Good breakfast, relaxing environment. The only down side is that even though the resort & all the rooms are set well back from from the main road, there is a Country & Western bar directly opposite this resort, which blasts out all night till about 3.30 am. Definately will keep the light sleepers awake. Other than that, this is a great resort & Koh Lanta is a superb place for a really enjoyable holiday.

Good location on Long Beach.
The Lanta Resort missed the mark for us this past December 2016. The resort grounds are needing some TLC and buildings need some attention too. Our room was clean, A/C worked well but we had a sewage smell coming from the bathroom, lots of mosquitoes in the room even though we kept the door closed at all times, and didn't have wifi most of the time unless you tried to connect in the middle of the night. The reception staff didn't speak very good English and didn't do much to try and fix the issues we brought to their attention. The breakfast was very good and food in general was quite good. The beach is very nice and pool facilities are adequate. Next time I would book another hotel.

Beautiful paradise
The grounds are huge so uncrowded. 5 pools & beach front. Good breakfast and fantastic beachfront restaurant. Could do with a large golf cart to ferry guest around the grounds

breakfast was pretty standard, asked for a fan...nope (not sure if that was a language problem or they didnt want to help) staff had fans by them ...so very disappointed. lots of staff on there phones ...all the time. little work being down as this is there slow time with customers. really wasn't impressed with the place...not close to much. Pool was big a beautiful but could been cleaned more.

Nice hotel close to the beach good pools ans staff
The staff was amazing and very helpful! We were there during off season so we had the entire staff for us! The resort is very close to the town and has a travel agency right there so you can plan very easy the activities, plus is located very close to koh phi phi

Rude staff and broken aircon
We stayed in the Superior Hotel. Don't do it. It's not worth the deal you would get. The pool's bottom tile was all broken and shards of ceramic were floating at the bottom. Huge safety hazard. The main pool in the bigger part of the hotel (the superior hotel is down the hill a bit) is nice but the loungers are dated and the wood is splintering. Our air-conditioning unit in the room was broken and making a loud grinding sound in the middle of the night so loud we couldn't sleep and asking to be switched to another room around 3:00 a.m. The hotel said it was fixed so we went back to our room on Night 2. Well, same thing happened around 2:00 a.m. and had to go to another room. Again, they said it was fixed but sure enough on Night 3 the same thing happened. We were so sleep deprived and exhausted we finally told the front desk to permanently move us to another room. Well, the front desk staff women was soo incredibly rude and was shouting at us to get our stuff out of the broken room immediately and that we can't have two rooms. I asked her if we could please go get breakfast first and then we would be happy to go pack up all of our stuff and she said "NO RIGHT NOW!" and I was so taken-aback with how rude she was. No compassion or understanding at all. She threatened to charge us for two rooms if we didn't get our stuff out of the original broken room and accused us of lying about the aircon still being broken. I've never encountered such horrible customer service.

You will easily find other hotels in the area that are better value. The location at the north end of long beach is great. But the hotel is tired, the staff were rude and the air con was terrible - after five hours it had only cooled the room a few degrees.

Great location
We used the hotel minibus service. They met us at the airport and drove the 2 hour journey to Ko Lanta. It has 2 ferry crossings to get from Krabi airport to Ko Lanta, so you need to allow plenty of time. The hotel is pleasant, breakfast buffet was good, plenty of choices. It has 2 main pools in the center of the complex. Some rooms also have direct access to the side pools. All in all, a great place to stay. We rented a motorbike from the hotel concierge area, very cheap - around £5 /day. Their internet service definitely needs improving, and this should be an easy thing to rectify.

Very disappointing hotel, management should be embarrassed. Litter, empty bottles, bin bags lying in grounds. Men hanging about supposed to be working on grounds but all they did was sit and chat and use a hose pipe on plants. Staff at reception unfriendly and uncaring, no welcome drink. In the room no hot water in shower, eventually realised flow was too low to turn heater on so needed to turn basin tap on at the same time as shower to get heater to work. Air conditioning underpowered, stayed in 5 different hotels on various islands on this holiday and this was the only disapoointing one.

Unfortunately we didn't like this place. We thought we were getting an amazing saving but in reality the discounted cost of the hotel was more reflective on the hotel than what the quoted full price would be. At best 3* but even then there are better 3* hotels.

Best during high season
I had a good stay at Lanta Resort. I have been here in both high season and low season and I do prefer high season at this resort. The breakfast is better in high season/more choices (they add cornflakes, yoghurt, have an egg station where you can get all sorts of eggs, more choice of juices ect.) The pools are good, the beach only 400 meters awsy if you stay in the deluxe rooms. And there are some really nice restaurants on the beach though closed during low season. A small kiosk across the road and a kind of hardware shop mixed with kiosk as well.

We came in the off season and paid a cheaper price however they never told us most of the hotel was closed down. The only redeeming feature was the pool. Staff were not friendly. Breakfast first morning was a set menu the second was buffet for Asian taste only. Asking for scrambled eggs was a big deal. We would not stay here again

Relaxing Getaway
Customer service is top notch. The manager and staff are very helpful, kind and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. I stayed an a beach front bungalow, which in the off season is maybe not the best idea but that was my mistake. I was offered a room closer to the pool and restaurant but I declined. The pools are great and there is a pool bar.

at first we were alarmed because the beach was not suitable to relax on and there was approximately 5 other people staying in this huge complex - but things quickly changed. The resort itself is gorgeous and has many pools to relax in. The rooms are big and clean and everything they're advertised to be. TV good, breakfast very good and the staff are more than friendly. Only complaint was the wi if which was very moody.

Realy nice hotel, away from amenities but not too far ..food is ok ,Internet is ok nice walk through the complex to the beach..we were there in the off season so stayed here for a 1000bath a night had pretty much the complex to ourselves

This hotel is passed it's best for sure and is very dreary. Not much life at all with the staff sitting around playing on their phones. Granted it is out if season and it was rainy during our stay but still needs a little attention to detail. Room was very big which was nice but better options out there

Quiet and close to the beach
We stayed in a room with pool access. Pool hour is slightly conservative, 7:00-18:00. We liked a little more extension. The resort is close to beach and we also enjoyed it. There are many restaurants around the resort and convenient for dining. Facilities are almost OK for all. The biggest problem with the resort is Mosquitos. In all corners of the room, there are herd of mosquitos. Everyday we requested housekeeping for extermination. Over all, this is a very relaxing resort

Great place to stay in Koh Lanta
We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely resort. The pool areas and beach area is very nice. We had lunch at the beach restaurant and the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed in "E" building which is not near the main desk but in a quieter section of the resort and has a quiet pool area. If you are not able to walk to the beach there is a shuttle that will take you and pick you up as the walk to the beach is about 10 mins from the E section rooms. You can book excursions and rent motor bikes at the hotel. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

An unsuspected surprise!
Having read a few of the reviews on Expedia and Trip Advisor, I thought that this would be the low light of our trip. The hotel was quit pleasant. On the plus side the the room was clean and facilities of the hotel resort are quite adequate. With the incredible Long Beach on your door step, it is quite spectacular and one of the nicest beaches we stayed at. A lovely walk along the beach at night would bring you to many, many options for dinner and drinks after. In particular Thai Cat was exceptional, look out for Dol on the barbecue, a fantastic character. On the down side our room was on the far end of the resort, i.e. next to the entrance, and the longest walk to get to the beach, but only 8 minutes. The shower was a bit of an odd one with no door and water going everywhere when you have a shower. Our hotel block was located near a swampy area, so we inundated with mosquitos at night and not able to open the patio door. The breakfast although plentiful, ,not to my taste, but my taste is different others, so most people would find it okay. Breakfast was busy so we had to wait for a table a few times as there are not enough tables for everyone. Travel tip, the authorities will charge 20 baht each person to enter when you arrive by ferry. It is a bit of chaos when you arrive with taxis. Most are tuktuks they are safe and are the cheapest. The police are also stopping some taxi cars as there are some that are not authorised taxi workers.

Gem on Ko Lanta
spent a week here. paradise. super clean, big, and spacious rooms....great price....good is spectacular....fried fish in chili sauce at beach restaurant was amazing. Breakfast, which is included, is spectacular...french toast, pancakes, tons of fruit and good coffee. Pool is huge and clean and poolside massage for $13? Are you kidding me? Amazing. This place is quiet. It is mostly families but you can walk beach to louder more party resorts if you want to get out for a bit. Sunsets were some of best ive witnessed in 84 countries. Employees are, all, very kind and polite. Wonderful stay.

Mixed feelings
We stayed two times at this resort. First 3 nights we spend in "Superior Rooms". In short I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I cannot see the word superior anywhere. Lccation is separate from the other resort. Showers were terrible spaying where ever and couldn't deliver warm water. We asked for three times to fix it with warm water. On a second day we requested a room change for this. Rooms doesn't include e.g. hand towels (asked for several times). Second three nights we spend in Deluxe rooms that were better. However the AC is old and noisy, but still much better than in Superior Room. In overall good resort with good services, but a little bit worn out. Deluxe rooms probably the best value for your money in Long Beach (off-season).

Peaceful family getaway
We spent a week here just before tourist season fully started. We basically had the entire resort (which is huge) to ourselves since there were only a few other guests. We also enjoyed a complimentary upgrade to a better room which was right next to the pool area. It takes a few minutes from poolside to the beach since the resort is literally huge but it wasn't any kind of problem. The resort is on the north end of Phra-AE beach. The beach is great, whereas we found some of the other beaches in Lanta to be a bit too rocky. OK, back to the hotel. Great rooms, nice pool area, good service, overall enjoyable experience. Rent a scooter, you can see the whole island in a day.

A liitle gem in lovely Koh Lanta
We would recommend this resort / hotel to anyone coming to Koh Lanta. Our second time in Koh Lanta was even better this time. Our deluxe room D202 was big enough with balcony and great shower, aircon could work a bit better but it was good enough. A great hideaway with short walk to long beach going thru a lush and nicely managed garden, very helpfull staff and large breakfast buffet even for us vegeterians. For this rate you will have big troubles finding a bett deal in lovely Koh Lanta. Near to Saladan village and much cheaper dinner and grocery shops and restaurants than further south in island. Many thanks to staff and see you soon!

Ideal spot in Lanta Yai.
Great location in Koh Lanta Yai, you can get to the main spot in town quickly by Scooter and the better beach on the island. The room is perfect, the pool is awesome and the buffet breakfast is good enough (could be better). lots to do in Lanta Yai and Noi, so grab your scooter and trek around the island and you will have a ball!!!

Low season is dead
We got a great deal on the hotel because it was low season, only 5 of the 170 rooms were occupied. Great if you want peace but not so good if you want to people watch. The beach at sunset was great with lots of cool restaurants dotted along it. Unfortunately, because of low season there was noone around and most restaurants, on beach massages, bars, markets were closed. We were told some businesses board up their premises and travel to other islands to work or see family. it was pretty boring and we met quite a few people who said it was better in the high season. Our journey from Krabi to the hotel on the shuttle bus was a nightmare. Our bus driver was in a foul mood and forgot to drop us at our hotel, so left us on the side of the road to catch a tuk tuk! We ended up going north of Krabi to Au Nang beach which was great
