“Excellent”

We found the staff to be so helpful and pleasant that it was a very pleasurable experience. When we wanted advice on trips or restaurants or day trips we were given very helpful information. Room and service were superb and well worth the upgrade to 'Club'. Maggie and Johnny, Scotland

“Fantastic location, excellent service, loved it.”

Had a fantastic week here in September. We paid a little extra to have the Club lounge access with a sea view and didn't regret it, definitely worth every cent. Were made to feel so welcome here with buffet breakfast, refreshing drinks all day, afternoon tea and evening snacks and alcohol. Never got tired of the view from the Club Lounge, or our room. The staff in the Club Lounge were excellent, honestly couldn't fault them, they were always happy to help, offering advice on local customs, shopping, tours and restaurant recommendations.

“Luxury next to markets”

After having spent 4 nights travelling through the jungles of Brunei it was sheer luxury to step through the door to our huge room with awesome views. The bathroom was heaven and plenty of hot water.Breakfast, because of an early start next day, was brought to room promptly and more than we could eat. Reception staff excellent, we were expected and welcomed by name. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great value.

“Hotel - FANTASTIC - Area a little smelly!”

I would highly recommend Le Meridien! The hotel is right down next to the waterfront, just across the road from the outdoor market. There are a whole range of restaurants on the waterfront Boardwalk. The Hotel was clean, rooms generous, the staff outstandingly friendly. The breakfast bar was fantastic - vast Asian selections as well as Western selections. Well worth taking the breakfast option. The coffee (in small French presses) was some of the best hotel coffee I've had. Given the convenience of the location, we would stay at Le Meridien without hesitation if and when we go back to Kota.

“Great location and hotel in KK”

Le Meridian was the perfect place to recouperate after a long flight to Borneo. The hotel is very, very comfortable and all of the staff is really friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located, so we walked to restaurants at night and explored the city during the day by foot. The sunsets from the deluxe rooms are pretty impressive and the (included) breakfast buffet was outstanding. I'd stay here again, definitely, especially at the special rate we got on Expedia.

“Top hotel, top value”

Excellent hotel; friendly, helpful staff; great breakfast (especially the almond croissants - they're near the toaster); quiet, spacious rooms with very comfortable beds; beautiful pool (although there was an occasional unpleasant waft from the waterfront opposite) and luscious poolside drinks - try pineapple, ginger and orange juice....and great value for money! Only tiny complaint was terrible coffee.

“Fantastic hotel, location and staff”

This was by far the best hotel we have stayed in through Asia. The only minor complaint we had was that they did not clean our toilet until we asked them to and one of the teaspoons in our room had mould on it. The hotel location was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel food was fantastic and great value for money although eating out locally was significantly cheaper. We felt safe in the area and were only asked for money from locals twice in the 7 days we were there. Other than that, they did not hassle us at all.
