Everything you need for a short stay.
My stay was just for one night, but the hostel had everything you would want a hostel to have. The private room was was spacious enough with a shared bathroom in the corridor that was clean and clearly well maintained. The walls aren't exactly soundproof, though, so if you are looking for a quiet night, be aware of this fact. The hostel is a 10 minute walk from the Kadiköy ferry port and metro station, so it is an ideal location for getting across to the European side, or further exploring the Anatolian side.

For the first night I stayed in room where I could hear the ppl next to me having intimate time so loud for almost the whole day. Then they changed my room gave me the worst room ever. The one on the tarrec I could hear everything in my room no privacy, it's says that the tarrec closes at 12 but ppl don't care and also the staff not obviously. Bathrooms were smelling and not clean. The Turkish guy at the reception was so rude. But Saif was super nice.

I am a frequent guest at this hostel and have used it as a base for my travel throughout Turkey. Every time I return I am met with such hospitality and true friendship that a weary traveler needs. The place is so well placed for transportation options as well. All the staff make every guest feel like they are the only guests within their home. Thanks Hush!

Where do I start. This place is a gem. The moment I came through the front door until the time I left I felt comfortable and like I was visiting with friends. The folks at the front desk made my stay enjoyable with all the tips and help. The room I had was fine for what I needed. Comfortable and inexpensive. One night
I stayed only one night and it was ok for the price. But my room had a cigarette smell very strong and the window faced the rooftop area, so there was a lot of noise to sleep. For the other points the hostel is good and ok for the price.

Being on the Asian side is a positive, and the Kadikoy neighbourhood has a cool vibe to it, and provides a more genuine taste of Turkey than staying in the same old/same old tourist district around Sultanahmet.

Good for a couple of days
We stayed in a shared bathroom double room. It was clean, but there was an undertone of cigarette smoke. The facilities and staff are nice, just try to get a room off street level

Highly recommended!
It's a very cozy place. The staff and the location itself are great! The only drawback was the sound coming from the private bathroom when the light was open. Also, each time we need to ask for hair dryer; it would be better if it is ready at room.I hope, hotel management can solve these issues.

My wife and I had never been to Istanbul before and booked a private room at Hush Hostel Lounge, rather than a similarly-priced room at a nice-looking hotel, because it looked like a better location. We weren't disappointed. The neighborhood is safe and clean, close to public transport, and full of cool shops, restaurants, cafes, and cats. The room and common areas were clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptional. Hussein and Stephanie were particularly helpful to us, noticing that we had shared interests and sharing local information.

A Great Suburb of Istanbul
We stayed in in 3 areas of Istanbul in our 3 weeks there and Kadikoy was our favourite. Hush Hostel is a great place to stay as it is central to this really good suburb. Up the street there's a pide shop and a general shop for all your drinks and snacks. Around the corner are lots of bars, cafes, and shops. Interesting and kind people are everywhere. Walk down the hill and you are at the wharf area with all you could need and great access to all public transport, including the ferries which take you on beautiful trips all over Istanbul. Sitting and watching the sunset from the wharf while locals danced was one of most favourite Istanbul times.

Charming hostel with community feeling.
Lovely place with a lot of community and charm. The neighbourhood is brilliant and for May month it felt like there were no tourists at all except the people staying in the hostel.

This is my first time in Istanbul, but these guys made it an amazing start, and now I have pretty high standars. I stayed for 2 nights. The breakfast is perfect to start your day well. The staff were super nice. Helpt with luggage, chatted away the night. The rooms are really clean and comfortable. I can't wish anything better. Great location, close to everything. And they have the most useful map here in Kadiköy. Hughly recommended to anyone.

Cozy and clean hostel
I originally booked for two nights here, but ended up staying 8 more nights. The hostel is in a very quiet and chilled-out neighborhood which I found great. It's on Asian side so you have to hop on the ferry to get to the more touristic places on European side, and if you wanna have late night parties in Taksim area, you'll need to hire a cab(40-60 liras) or get on a dolmus(5-6 liras I think) to get back to the hostel. This might be frustrating to some people, but I had no problem with it. If you're a group of people, I think it should be fine getting around. As for rooms, I stayed two nights in fully ensuited double room with AC, one night in a dorm, four nights in a single room, and three nights in a double room. Ensuited double room was amazing. Mattress seemed a bit old and sunken but very clean and fresh with beautiful sunlight from a high window. I just slept one night in a dorm room without spending much time in the room but it was okay, clean room with high window as well. The single room I stayed in was on the other building which is across the street from the building with reception. It was also clean and shared shower was more spacious. Only thing is that it was a bit warmer than the rooms in the other building(I'm not sure if it was only the room I stayed in). I assume the air flowing there was less and the room was a bit compact so it heats up. The double room was in the reception building and it was fresh even without AC. The hostel only has a spiral staircase so if you have a heavy luggage and get a room on upper floors, you might have to be ready to hassle a bit. The breakfast is simple Turkish style. Bread, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, ham, cornflakes, and some fruits. It was good enough for me. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Hush. It was a pretty long stay and I never had any complaints that I had to talk to the staffs. Staffs were always very helpful as well. I'd definitely stay here if I visit Istanbul again.

Nice hotel in Asian part of the city
I spent 2 night with my girlfriend in a private room with shared bathroom. Istanbul accomodation is quite expensive so we were happy to have good quality for the money. The neighborhood is nice and easy to get to the european taking the ferry. The pier is 7 min walking. Breakfast was buffet and quite good even thought it would be nice if they put some juice. People on the reception were really nice. I would totally go back here.

On Asian side of the city so half an hour on the boat to where most of the sites are, but boat goes from bottom of the hill. Plenty of nice pubs/cafes reasonably near hostel (five-ten minutes walk). Can be a bit difficult to find using a taxi, very easy when you know where it is but good idea to print a map for arriving the first time. Hostel is nice, clean, friendly, relaxed - definitely recommend.

The staff are friendly and welcoming and really helpful with whatever you need !!! Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, location is great in a real authentic part of Istanbul, if your looking for something not so touristic yet with plenty of interesting places to visit... this is the location to stay...highly recommended and great value !!

It is good for what it is. A cheap and clean hostel in a very convenient place. 5 minutes walk from the sea ferry, so its a good place if you want to discover both sides of Istanbul. Friendly multi-lingual staff. For the price, its really good. Just don't go expecting a 5 star hotel treatment.
