This unfortunate hotel, used COVID for their excuse of why no coffee maker in room or coffee available in lobby, no disposable cups or lobby open during inclimate weather. Had to stand outside with whipping wind hitting my face, as I tried to register. Was not allowed inside even during daytime hours, to request a second roll of bathroom tissue (on second day). Had to walk back to my room and call on my phone to request from front desk (it was too cold to stand in line behind another guest who was at the outside window). Then return again, in very cold rainy, weather to retrieve bathroom tissue. Really sabby conditions and service, using COVID as their defense. We have stayed at the Hilton and La Quinta Inn in the past few months, where
they offered coffee and services: "in-room" and lobby, not using COVID as an excuse to not give basic customer service to guest. I do understand this is a no frills ~ no thrills type of stay but I felt like a second class citizen at this hotel. I will chose to stay elsewhere when visiting Houston again with my dogs. This is a sad place to stay.
