"Loved this place! A very cute and calm spot with a very nice little cafe in the lobby. I travel to the area every year for the film festival and this was my first time staying a bit farther from the center of Cannes, but I found it very easy to get there via the train, which is barely a 3 min walk from the hotel. The surrounding area is very cute and safe, I much preferred it over staying in one of the bigger towns. Staff was also very responsive and helpful."

"Our room had a bathroom in which the shower made the whole bathroom floor wet. The tile was dangerously slippery. Not good."

"This was a perfect hotel for exploring Nice! The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially Maria and John. They provided me with extra coffee pods and milk and were always there to answer question. My room was quiet, clean and cool, my three most important things in a hotel."

"On this visit I was placed in a room with French doors that opened onto a balcony with cocktail table and a scenic view. Just as before the room, staff, a/c, and WiFi were all ideal. Hotel Univers is a hidden gem just outside of Old Town."

"We had a problem in the shower door the first day we checked in and the receptionist said that it is impossible to fix on Sunday then Monday they removed the door and now we ended up in a open shower that was filling the bathroom with water . The hotel is not furnished as a four star but as a rest house of 2 or 3 stars. Staff friendly but the state of hotel is renovated in bad shape like the elevator smells and balcony with a broken chair. I would not spend a this amount on a stay at these...
