We stayed for one night and was taken super good care of the crew working here. Place is very clean and tidy. Food great and service level fantastic. Did the morning safari tour with them which also was great. If you goin to addo park, you come to the right place :)

The property and gardens were all beautifully kept, and dinner was delicious. It is a bit out of the way if you're not there to explore the Addo National Elephant Park.

Room was beautiful, bed was great along with all the help. Breakfast and Dinner were wonderful and romantic. Safari with Igna was informative and fun - saw lots of animals. Met very nice people which made our stay more memorable !! Pool was delightful.

Drift off at De Old Drift
We booked this place online as somewhere to base ourselves to explore Addo and surrounding area and the pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment we drove up the lemon grove drive I knew I’d made a good choice. An oasis of calm after a hectic drive down the garden route, two ponds frame your entrance whilst weaver bird nests hang from surrounding trees. A beautiful setting near the Sundays River where the reception and restaurant look out to the welcoming swimming pool. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. My small family and I all felt our stay there was particularly special.

Hidden Gem!
Arrived late in the evening and was greeted by a very warm welcome by the lady at the reception. Really appreciated how they make arrangements for us to have dinner too. Great place and strongly recommended. Breakfast and dinner were both wonderful.

We had a wonderful time. It is a beautiful unique property. Fantastic breakfast. The staff was very pleasant. I would strongly recommend staying there!!!!!!!!!!

Difficult to improve on this place
De Old Drift Guest Farm is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for three nights in a self catering unit but ate at the restaurant as well. The food wasv excellent. It is about 25 minutes drive to Addo National Park. We took a game drive with Lindo in the farms safari vehicle. Very informative and worthwhile. One h Night we went on one of the parks night drives. We got within 30 feet of two male lions amazing There are other restaurants locally if you want a change of scene. We went to Addo Wildlife which was great, and a neat place for kids

Terrible - never again
Informed would arrive late, called them but no answer. Had to wait outside the gate till another guest arrived and opened the gate and waited in car park till someone saw us and gave a room key. Bathroom is a hazard, sheets not clean, worst part was no heating as the AC would not heat and we froze and could not sleep at night. AVOIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! Many other better options in the area.

Good Morning First of all we have waited after hours for you to arrive at our guest farm, and we have a screen in our reception that shows us when there is a car in front of our gates. About the key - we take all our guest to their rooms personally, we did not just hand you a key, if that was the case you wouldn't have found your room . You stayed with us in April, our weather in April are still very warm, if you have changed the setting on the aircon to the sun, then it will only heat. We can promise you that all our sheets are clean and all our guest are happy with our standard. According to our rating for cleanliness we have 9.4 out of 10. I don't think that this comment is at all fair to us and our Staff that works very hard and always willing to help and make sure that our guests are happy and well looked after. We don't understand why would you ask to stay longer after check-out time, if your stay was so terrible.

Charming and tranquil setting
We stayed in the very spacious well-appointed two bedroomed air conditioned thatched cottage which had very good outside space including its own braii and garden with views. Ideally located for visiting the parks. We only stayed one night and wish it had been longer.

Charming guest farm with a service. Breakfast and dinner were prepared by professionals. Relaxing location out of the main road. If you are looking for relaxation rather than pretentious service like Hilton or Kempinski this is the place.

Lovely! Really happy
My mother and I stayed two nights in a self-catering cottage. Very comfortable and clean and a lovely location to return to after an afternoon driving around nearby Addo Elephant N.P. The owners' three resident canines are the sweetest-natured, most well behaved fellows! They were so cute the way they'd come for a walk with us down to the river, or quietly sit outside the door in the morning waiting for a "good morning" pat! This was one of the best places we stayed in our trip around South Africa!

Nach langer Suche im Internet haben wir uns für diese Guestfarm entschieden. Sie hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen: - sehr freundliches Personal, das auf alle Wünsche gern eingeht - reichhaltiges Frühstück - alles sehr sauber, Pool zwar klein (nicht zum langen Schwimmen) aber herrlich für eine Abkühlung - Lunch und Dinner auf Anfrage erhältlich und sehr schmackhaft - absolut ruhige Lage, dicht am Addo Nationalpark (Safaritour wird angeboten und ist sehr empfehlenswert, Danke Igna) - viel Natur, aber trotzdem wenig Insekten (Räume absolut tierfrei) Wer ein nettes,familiäres Ambente sucht, ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Die gesamte Anlage und die einzelnen Zimmer haben die Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Zum Addo Elephant Park ist es nur ein Katzensprung (20 Minuten mit dem Auto). Eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung !

Kleinod in Reichweite des Addo Naturreservates
Etwas abseits der Mainroad und deshalb angenehm ruhig. Überschaubare Größe und deshalb absolut keine Hektik. Sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete Bungalows mit kleiner Veranda. Hervorragendes Frühstück und auch tolle Angebote zum Dinner. Service war zu jeder Zeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Fahrzeit bis Addo ca. 20 Minuten.

Elegante, gepflegte Anlage mit schönem Garten
Sehr ruhig gelegen. Sehr schönes Badezimmer, ganz neu. Sehr freundliches Personal. Schade, dass sich die Besitzer nie blicken lassen haben, sondern alles an die Angestellten delegiert haben. Im Essraum war es sehr warm (kein Deckenventilator, keine Klimaanlage).

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis
Schönes Bed and Breakfast in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Ca 20 Minten vom Addo Nationalpark entfernt. Die Zimmer sind gross und schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist gut, das Nachtessen hervorragend. Pool vorhanden Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

O hotel é bom, mas pelo que falam no site eu esperava um local mais aconchegante e familiar, com cara de fazenda realmente. O quarto é confortável, mas se você se incomoda com claridade pode se preparar para acordar as 6 da manhã. O restaurante enta ser sofisticado, mas não consegue. A comida estava de razoável para ruim, e os preços não são bons. Principal vantagem é a proximidade do Addo Elephant Park.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in einer Zitrusfarm. Wir hatten die Villa mit Bergblick. Einfach wunderschön. Auf Wunsch kann man dort Frühstücken und Nachtessen. Das Essen war hervorragend und mit viel Liebe zugerichtet worden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch die Safari welche wir vor Ort gebucht haben ist empfehlenswert und von einem Guide geführt, der 7 Jahre für den Addo Nationalpark arbeitete und jetzt für die Old Drift Farm und daher auch viel über die Tiere und deren bevorzugte Plätze im Park Bescheid wusste. Auf der Farm hatte es auch Hunde, mit welchen unsere Kids gerne spielten. Diese sind sehr gut erzogen und wissen genauestens, wo sie hineindürfen oder nicht, und keinen falls aufdringlich. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Sehr schöne Anlage!
Wir waren drei Nächte dort und uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen. Die Kommentare über das Ferienhaus hatten uns zunächst abgeschreckt. Aber nichts hat dem entsprochen. Vor allem die Ruhe, die Grösse des Hauses und die traditionelle Bauweise waren auf unsere Rundreise bislang unübertroffe. Immer wieder!!! Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Unterkunft.

Wir haben für 1 Nacht hier halt gemacht. Die guten Bewertungen und die Nähe (etwa 15 Fahrminuten) zum Addo Elephant Park haben uns zur Buchung bewegt. Das Guesthouse ist parkähnlich angelegt und der sehr freundliche Empfang der Servicepersonals hat gleich eine wohligen Gefühl hervorgerufen. Das Doppelzimmer ist im Prinzip eine Doppelhaushälfte im Bungalowstil. Die Einrichtung ist zurückhaltend hübsch. Es wird alles geboten, was man zum Wohlfühlen braucht. Abends bietet das Old Drift ein 3-Gang-Abendessen (Wahl zwischen 2 Hauptgängen) zu absolut moderaten Preisen an (180-220 ZAR = ca. 12-15 Euro). Lediglich das inkludierte Frühstück hat uns nicht so überzeugt, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Wir würden dort jederzeit wieder unterkommen und haben uns äußerst wohl gefühlt. Unbedingt Erwähnung finden sollten auch die 5 Hunde des Guest House, die unglaublich lieb, verspielt und verschmust sind.

Oase der Ruhe
Das Guesthouse liegt mitten in einer Zitronenplantage auf einem sehr schön angelegten Grundstück. Die weitere Umgebung war nicht reizvoll, wohl aber der Addo-Park, der in 15 Minuten zu erreichen war. Gastgeber, Service und Essen waren wunderbar.
