"Very clean, comfortable and spacious room. We had king room with sofa bed with sea view. Got a paid upgrade when we got to hotel which was not expensive. Lovely breakfast too which set us up for the day."

"From reception through to the waiting staff and the cleaning staff we felt welcome and valued. Our deluxe double room was pristine. Bottled water awaited us and was supplied daily, along with luxury biscuits. Special mention to Ana and Renijini (Sorry if ive mis-spelled this wonderful young woman's name) - both of these women went the extra mile to enhance our restaurant experience. We'll be back."

"Friendly staff, clean room, good location & view"

"My friend and I enjoyed a mini break for her 50th. We immediately got upgraded upon arrival. The rooms were fresh, spacious and comfortable. This hotel is situated in the heart of Brighton making eating out a pleasant experience - we were a few minutes walk from the lanes, packed with restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel is useful as a basic stop over. Room was basic, decor requires attention in terms of cleaning and renovation. Parking was £6 per day although the staff didn’t tell me that on street parking is free on Sunday so I wasted money. The water supply for the shower was weak and only reached tepid and exciting the shower was cold. I am not going back to this hotel again."

"Staff make the hotel. Had a bath tub toilet combo. Bath was extremely clean. Really pleased as thats how I judge cleanliness. Carpet in the room could have been vacummed more but bed clean, white sheets comfy, not even one stain. Impressed. Asked for a particular room my child is SEN, that was also given with no hassle (obviously within the price range booked). Really happy, kind staff especially room service the staff who delivered breakfast to room 248 on the 26 May. Its our second time...

"After checking in we found the air conditioning was not working, tried to call the front desk and phone was not working, nor was the TV. Had to walk back down to reception where we were told we were pre warned about the air conditioning ( we were not!!) and there was a fan in the room- there wasn’t. The lady argued saying there was and said in regards to the phone not working- most hotels don’t have phones anymore anyway. When she came to our room, she finally agreed we indeed did not have a...

"Welcome was great. Staff friendly and very helpful. Lovely large room with super wet room. Breakfast was delicious and had a super view of the sea whilst eating. Area was busy but quiet both in our room and the dining area. We will most definitely visit again."

"The window could not open"

"Old hotel, badly maintained with smelly rooms. The water coming out the bathroom tap had a horrible sewage smell, so my family and I used mineral water to brush the teeth and to wash the face. There were two lifts but only one working during the whole weekend, and the guests had to share it with the staff transporting food or cleaning supplies. It was a mess. I will not return to this hotel."

"Good convenient place to stay."

"We knowingly booked a small room. The room itself was clean and decent enough. It was an extremely hot day so could have done with A/C or at least a better fan than that provided. The bathroom was too tiny to be practical. There was no shelf in the tiny shower and there was not enough room to bend down and pick shower gel off the floor. Overall the price was very reasonable so we were not expecting the world. Staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable."
