Mike & Lynn provide everything you need for a stay in The Lakes. Beautiful rooms. Beautiful gardens. Great food and a friendly nature towards their guests. The location is perfect for being close to the village centre and a great base for visiting surrounding areas. Cannot recommend enough and will be definitely visiting again.

Great location, very close to the center of town. Easy walk to very nice restaurants. Nice, comfortable rooms. Pretty, welcoming, quiet garden. Lovely, large breakfast, if you wish. Healthy, vegan, and vegetarian options available.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely lodge, which offered luxurious rooms and delicious breakfasts. It was an easy walk from the lodge to everywhere in town. The hosts were friendly and helpful. If we return to the Lake District, we would love to stay here again.

Wheatlands Lodge
Nice, well-maintained, up-market B&B in a good, quiet location. They offer a variety of rooms at different price points. The standard double rooms are more suited to a single person.

5* hotel
Perfect B&B with lovely hosts. Deluxe room was great, and I loved the spa bath complete with Bath House toiletries. Yummy brekkie with gluten free & veggie diets accommodated. Only very very small downside was the music played at brekkie was way too depressing/schmaltzy! Something more upbeat would be a nice way to start the day. Definitely recommend this B&B

Had a lovely weekend at the Wheatlands. Mike and Lynne were lovely good host. Couldn't fault anything. A good choice of breakfast to choose from and was great. Recommended hotel to stay.

A Wonderful Stay
My partner and I stayed here for a few days while in Windermere and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Mike and Lynn are fantastic hosts, providing a friendly, high quality service. The breakfast menu offers vegan alternatives, which we found delightful. The rooms were cosy and well kept. The interior is well decorated and instills a welcoming atmosphere. We greatly appreciated the clear care and effort put in to make our stay a memorable one.

Wheatlands Lodge - Simply amazing
Everything about our stay was fantastic from the moment we arrived to when we left. Our room was well equipped, extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel was excellent and very quiet. Breakfast was the best we’ve had at a hotel. Fantastic produce with homemade bread and granola pots. Mike and Lynn were fantastic hosts, very helpful and knowledgeable. When we go to the Lakes again, there is only one place we will be staying.

Great few days away
We stayed in room 1 which was very clean, welcoming and fairly spacious. The décor is pleasant and the room was well dressed and bright. There is coffee and tea in the room and fresh milk was provided on arrival. Lynn and Mike were very attentive and suggested walks and places to visit. Mike's Eggs Benedict for breakfast is to die for and is the best I have tasted. The large full English is also a nice start to the day.

A welcoming place to stay..in the heart of Windermere. The owners are keen to make you feel at home..well appointed rooms..good local knowledge...excellent breakfasts. A good base for exploring..car park handy too. Definitely a place to recommend.

We stayed for two nights and had a really wonderful time. I’d picked this property partly because of its location and it was ideally situated for us; 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10 or so to the lake. The hotel itself was lovely and the owners Mike and Lynn were incredibly helpful and kind. They made sure we had everything we needed and the home cooked breakfasts in the morning were fantastic. Overall, I’d rate the lodge as one of the best places we’ve ever stayed and highly recommend it.

Very homely and welcoming. Little annoying that if the bathroom light had been switch on it was 45 mins until the bathroom air con switched off as they were connected. Remote control was temperamental (sometimes it worked and then it didn’t). Headboard on the bed was very worn

Owners are lovely people and very warm. Location is very handy for both Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere with many locations to eat are very close. The evening is very peaceful and the breakfast is very tasty.

The property was very well located and nicely managed by the owners. The checkin experience was great and the owners were very friendly and welcoming, they even gave great advice to explore the area. The room was very neat and clean with all the amenities. Few things that could have made the stay even more comfortable and excellent would be - a longer window to finish breakfast than 8-915, good reading lights next to the bed and proper blinds for the windows. Overall the stay was very comfortable and I will definitely recommend going back.

Just perfect in every way
This guest house is immaculate, the proprietors are warm and friendly. Our 3 night stay was perfect with comfortable bed and shower. We woke up to a lovely breakfast and home made bread what else can you ask for. Location is ideal for the village and down the hill Bowness with more eating places to choose from. Very clean and comfortable facility. Just a few steps from the main street and the town. Quiet. Very friendly and hospitable hosts and staff. The breakfast foods were amazing, better than any 5 star hotels I have been to. Absolutely enjoyed the stay. Amazing scenery and hiking and boat rides are short bus ride away. Definitely want to go back!
