“Very nice weekend in Charlottesville”

We stayed at the Residence Inn for 3 nights in April 09 after scrambling for a room in Charlottesville...it ended up being a great experience. Check in was easy. Breakfast buffet had more to offer than we ever imagined. We were within walking distance of UVA for the Dave Matthews Concert. The hotel sits right behind a great shopping center. The room itself was all we needed for 2 people. Very satisfied.

“Great Hotel!”

My husband and I stayed here for two nights while we were in the process of moving. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and well-maintained. They have a great breakfast and convenient laundry facilities. We'd definitely stay there again!

This is a nice place to stay. Quiet and breakfast was good. Very clean and close to an upscale shopping center.

“Will definitely go back”

Rooms were spacious, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The daily breakfast buffet (included) was wonderful -- eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, toast, sweet rolls, hot oatmeal, cold cereal, juices, coffee & tea -- and well tended by very friendly staff. The dining area had a fireplace, loaner books, and soft music playing. Very welcoming and relaxing; a great way to start the day in Charlottesville.

“Very nice and clean.”

I was very satisfied with my stay. Room was clean and comfortable. They have excellent breakfast. Customer service was also very nice and friendly. I would stay there again without hesitation.

“Awesome hotel!”

The Residence Inn staff was helpful and the room was great! We loved the location (close to UVa) and will stay there again when headed back to Charlottesville. The breakfast was really impressive. Glad I found this hotel!

“A very pleasant stay”

A lovely quiet and comfortable room with easy parking. Excellent shops in shopping centre about 3 minutes drive away. Hotel has been refurbished recently. Internet worked well. Breakfast was included and had lots of variety. Unfortunately the hotplate did not work and so the staff found me one to use outside the room. I think it had not been connected. All in all very good and I would have been happy to stay longer.

“Very strict on check in time!”

You are not allowed to check in before 4:00pm period and sometimes the front desk was not too pleasant about that fact. Other people trying to check in were also displeased with this strict rule.

“Great value in Charlottesville”

Excellent overall offering, with great included breakfast.

“Only one drawback”

Overall, the hotel was great. What bothered me was that they took a credit card just to hold in case there was any damage to the room, but it's over a week later and the money STILL isn't back in my account! I've called and they said it's about my bank, but it's getting ridiculous. The hotel itself was great. The amount of money they hold on your credit card is not!
