“Great short break stay”

Took advantage of a two night break deal through Expedia. Very friendly staff helped to make us feel special throughout our stay. Free wi-fi, lovely swimming pool and plentiful breakfast all helped to make this a very enjoyable break.

“Excellent”

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were attentive without being 'pushy' and their restaurant was good. We only spent one night there, but I would certainly use it again. We had come from a 4Star hotel in Switzerland at twice the price per night, and to be frank the Menzies Strathmore was far better in every aspect.

“Great!”

Second time staying at the hotel & it was as enjoyable as the first time. The food was lovely, I slept well & I did not have to break my exercise routine because they have a gym. I will definetly be staying again.

“COMFORTABLE STAY”

Very confortable hotel and so convenient for shopping and restaurants. Shopping Mall almost on the doorstep We took the National Express bus from London Heathrow and the bus stopped a few yards from the front door. This information may be useful to other travellers travelling from LHR to Luton and needing a hotel overnight. Menzies Strathmore hotel was way above expectations and I might add that we received excellent service from the Food and Beverage Manager and his staff. Great stay, would love to come back.

“Good value”

Not the easiest place to find as there are works going on locally. I booked two nights but on separate reservations and they managed to check me out before the second night despite the friendly receptionist noting I was there for 2 nights. Didn't eat but bar clean and friendly staff. Not fantastic but convenient, central and very friendly staff.

“Good.”

The receptionist I had this time wasn't super friendly, but she was helpful. One I had during a previous visit was excellent. The rooms I've used were small but had everything I needed and were comfy. Internet worked great. Nice lobby/restaurant area.

“Mid week visit”

Car parking terrible, they are using space on to of multi storey car park opposite for hotel guests to use, so long drive up 6,7 floors to top then ellivator down through the mall and walk outside to hotel, not ideal especially when it's raining. Hotel ok although I paid for executive double and they gave me a std double which they sorted when I revisited to check at desk. Glad I had paid for an executive room as the std room was dated and small and a rather bad musty smell. Executive rooms very nice modern, clean and fresh. You get what you pay for basically. Food expensive in restaurant with not much variety, breakfast couldn't fault it, perfect start to the day

“Expedia, a night mare”

Hotel was fine, but trying to get information and a receipt from Expedia was a nightmare. I will never book through them again
