"The pool area is quite narrow. To make things worse, smoking was allowed anywhere. It could also be no one was enforcing no smoking at the poolside. I was with my kids and we have to keep moving to different parts of the pool to avoid 2nd hand smokes."

"Had a short stay in Ayola hence did not try out the spa. The room I had was a twin bedded and condition of the room was fine, except that there's no hairdryer in the room. The toilet had a bad sewage smell which fortunately for me, I had some lemongrass essential oil with me, which I had literally poured into the drainage and it helps, had to do daily for the 2 nights. "Hotel is generally an old hotel but maintained well . Breakfast was good . Staff are very friendly and helpful . Even the secuity lady at the entrance was so friendly. I enjoyed the stay , the hospitality was fantastic ."

"Wifi was not stable and signal kept dropping. Frustrating and took time to reply to my emails. Room was quite dated and please do not believe the pictures on the website. The toilet tiles were stained and heavy black build up between the grouting. I choose a non smoking room, but clearly there were other rooms smoking on the same floor. Better hotel rooms in the city at that price point. "

"Despite being a hotel that is quite old, we appreciate that the room was renovated to a modern look and we like the beddings and stuff. However the bathroom was a let down because sewage odour kept escaping through the floor traps. To cover the smell, the housekeeping use urinal mat, commonly used in public men's toilet urinals, as deodoriser, making not only the bathroom but the whole room (in fact the whole floor) to smell like public toilet."
