Truly exceptional. The staff is very accomodating. The property is unique. the room was fully updated and comfortable. It is easy to walk to the key attractions in Bath. The garden is meticulously kept. I especially enjoyed viewing the property from the fron (Royal Crescent) and enjoying the view of the gorgeous green in front of the Royal Crescent. Below the private green there is a public green open to all -- it is wonderful to see people enjoying the park.
Excellent service, perfect location and will definitely come back.

An interesting hotel which didn’t quite live up to expectations which was a great shame
A library which doesn’t have many books in it
A offer of tea / coffee on arrival whilst waiting to check in wasn’t complimentary
Our room was situated on the top floor with no view dark old furniture and a really uncomfortable bed, poor bedding no fridge no milk TV didn’t work properly
We did complain and moved to a better room
Breakfast was terrible the buffet was an ok standard but the cooked breakfast was diabolical with hard cold scrambled eggs rock hard black pudding and re- heated sausages
The toast was clearly not fresh bread a typical sliced white and brown
The spa was ok but slightly tatty with showers that dribbled and complementary products that you couldn’t use as the pumps didn’t work
Scaffolding across the front of the hotel was mentioned on booking
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel which is a shame as it could be stunning

Thank you for your review although we were surprised to read as we believed we had resolved all of your issues for you during your stay. We are sorry that our lovely 5 star property did not meet your expectations.
Bath is an amazing city and the Royal Crescent is in the most beautiful terrace overlooking the town. The hotel is class personified. Friendly and efficient staff, great spa, best breakfast and lovely rooms. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased you enjoyed your time with us
This is a beautiful hotel. We received an upgrade and the room was really lovely. Spa is decent; bar, breakfast and afternoon tea were very nice. Efficient and friendly concierge/valet.
Only issue was some uneven service - I sent multiple emails ahead of the stay regarding booking pool time for kids but the person responding was really not knowledgeable and for all my efforts I never ended up having a confirmed booking until I spoke with them in person upon arrival (we had the pool to ourselves which was nice); room was not ready on time (we were told this was due to head of housekeeping having had to depart for an emergency) - reception generously offered us a comp round of drinks that evening to compensate but then the cost showed up on our bill and was interpreted as part of our Expedia F&B credit so we had to awkwardly explain that it wasn’t; service in the restaurant, though friendly and skilful, was quite slow (though probably no slower than at most places these days). The hotel does offer comp hot drinks delivered to the room which probably requires considerable staff capacity!
Despite the issues, I would definitely like to return to this hotel; I’m sure it’s really gorgeous in the summer when the garden tables are in use.

Thank you for your feedback which we appreciate and we hope we can welcome you back in summertime.
Beautiful, iconic property. Love the room, the grounds, the restaurant/bar and the house cat. It was a short walk to the Christmas market and the highlights of Bath. I especially loved my late night Old Fashion, best i habe ever had!
Best place I've ever stayed. The Staff were amazing and would do anything for us. so friendly and the photos online do not do it justice. Spar is amazing
We didn’t get any VIP or Gold benefit treatment. Informed of our anniversary, but they put us in basement room where construction workers were passing by our windows, and had no privacy or views. Very disappointed in their lack of attention to our needs.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that your stay did not meet expectations. We did upgrade you to a Heritage room which is in our lower ground floor, but still has large windows to the exterior. I am sorry this was not to your liking
Thie building is beautiful, a must see even if you don’t stay here. The gardens in back are beautiful any season. The staff makes you feel special and promptly fills any need.Yes, it’s expensive but making a reservation considerably ahead of time saves some money. I had a great meal, but I didn’t use the spa this time.

Marc, Kwan, Antoine, Sarah, Theresa, and Niki. There were others that I couldn’t remember their names. They made us feel so welcome and well looked after. The staff was really good. Hotel is such a rare gem. Food and drink were top notch. Might have to swing back to Bath just to revel in the Royal Crescent experience.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. WE are delighted you enjoyed
This historical property is magnificent. Low ego and there to help the staff are very accommodating, proactive and make your stay very pleasant. The spa is just perfect with a pool, spa bath, steam room and sauna. Everything super clean and prystine. The restaurant and bar have nice menus with lots of choices including accomodating gluten and dairy free options.
Rooms are spacious and well done and kept fresh. And finally the setting is idyllic atop the city of Bath and surrounded by beautiful English gardens with many spots to sit and wonder.
The property is fantastic-quiet-wonderful gardens-the rooms are excellent-the indoor swimming pool exercise rooms are not usual at English hotels. The staff was exceedingly nice, friendly and helpful. The nigh manager was especially wonderful.
The hotel falls down on F&B. The waiters could not get our orders straight on several occasions. They brought the wrong items more than the correct ones. They did not pay attention to the table and at times I had to get up to find a waiter. The food is just so-so. The hotel clearly needs a first class F&B manager to bring it up to the standards of a 5 star hotel. Despite this our stay was wonderful and I would strongly recommend the hotel.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback. We have a few new staff in our F&B department and we are currently working hard to train them. I do apologise if this impacted on your stay
Lovely gardens
Place to sit in sun and relax
Valet parking was good
Spa area was nice but little compact , general hotel service of staff was very good
Restaurant food was of good standard
Trout starter was delicious
Sommelier little out of touch
Was looking at bottle £80
Poilly fuisse which found out they did not have chilled
So his suggestion instantly was £350 montrachet
Would of been lovely but if customer had looked at bottle at particular price point
Suggest something in that range
Went for £100 Sancerre
I picked myself instead but a safe option and would of liked sommeliar to come up with a hidden gem i would not of thought of , not just most expensive .

Thank you for your feedback which we shall ensure is passed on to our sommelier
The different private places to sit in the garden grounds. The unlimited use of the spa facilities and tranquil atmosphere in there. Excellent and friendly staff and service. Luxurious bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
Unfortunately this stay was very disappointing. Our room was not available until 5:30/6, we were told there is no parking - but there is. The wait staff are incredibly nice but every time we had to ask for something two or three times. Overall it’s just a little disappointing for a beautiful hotel such as this.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry we did not live up to your expectations. Our hotel does have very limited parking which cannot be booked in advance unless you book direct with the hotel rather than through a 3rd Party. We are sorry if this caused a problem for you
Excellent staff service and communication. From concierge taking our car and luggage, to running errands to fetch items from our room, to restaurant service: nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is outstanding - particularly the staff who were all lovely and helpful. The restaurant was also exceptional but would comment that the wine is very pricey with the cheapest being £40. £45 for Pinot Grigio is too much.

Thank you for your feedback, our new sommelier is currently looking at all wine pricing, so hopefully that will resolve the issue you raised
The service is exceptional, I truly enjoyed my stay. I went with my two kids and they set up our room with little treats for my kids. It was so adorable. The concierge was so helpful and found me a reservation at an excellent restaurant last minute.
