"It's quiet it's out of the way and a nice view good parking pleasant staff"

"We stayed in the sauna room which was recently refurbished, staff were incredibly rude and inattentive, food was microwaved ready meal at best. The room itself was fine, shower was broken. The sauna was nice although it smelled incredibly unclean. I definitely would not recommend staying here. 0 atmosphere either. Also the hot tub was broken which was not communicated to us until we arrived honestly AVOID."

"We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. "Lovely views of Loch Awe. The driver wasn’t so happy about the long single track road but the other two enjoyed the solitude and quiet at the end of the road. Rooms are comfortable and all different."

"An absolute gem of a property - from rooms, bar, dining room and staff. Wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a dinner there as well. Chef is very talented! The views of boats in the bay and the shoreline of Oban are spectacular from this property. Highly recommend."

"Fantastic Georgian Inn on Main Street in Inverary. Big comfortable beds with nice clean rooms/bathrooms. Lovely assortment of hot and cold breakfasts and a good range of dinner menu. Really friendly and helpful staff. Our room overlooked Main Street and we were warned that a quiet room couldn’t be guaranteed as there was a wedding when we stayed. It was a little noisy late into the night, so take some ear plugs just in case!!"

"The building is long and has multiple levels and no elevator. If one has mobility issues, it would be wise to make a note when booking. The staff are super helpful and accommodating. Dinner was nice with fresh meat from an award winning butcher. They take bookings for the small outdoor hot tub, so keep this in mind if you’re looking forward to the experience."

"We had a fantastic minimoon at Crinan!! Food is 11/10. Staff 11/10! Location is absolutely stunning. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a room with a balcony and the views are out of this world. The boat trip on Ross Ryan’s boat The Sgarbh was incredible. We saw seals and Sea Eagles and sailed around the islands. This hotel is a true Scottish gem!"

"The darling couple who own and run the B&B are extremely delightful. Our hostess started us off in the morning with a delightful breakfast, good cup of coffee and good advice or directions to our days activities. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The bonus was the view from the property was gorgeous."
