Great room - one of just 19 rooms on the property. Very personable hotel staff. They graciously let us stash our bags while we visited a nearby museum and wait around a bit for a late flight. Restaurant staff wasn’t as personable, but still decent.

This was one of the most charming hotels I've ever stayed in. Along with the character was the utilitarian, where every detail for comfort in the rooms was considered and well-planned.

We absolutely love this hotel! It feels like a miracle. The location is very safe, the rooms are amazing – almost like being in a museum. We had breakfast, and it was delicious! A big thanks to the staff; they were incredibly helpful and made our stay even better!

This is a beautiful hotel located in a renovated caravanserai, in the oldest part of Ankara, next to the Citadel, and very near the Museum of Anatolian Civilization. The building is very well maintained, and really gives a sense of the past. My room was lovely. It looked out on the street, which can be a little busy during the day and has occasional barking dogs at night. (I asked for another more secluded room looking away from the street but was told these were only suites). But the street is quiet past 8pm and the dogs are not loud :) I am a light sleeper but the street did not bother me at night. I don't believe I received a special VIP treatment (Expedia's claim) but I was treated very well and I really recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel with excellent service This hotel was once a saray( small palace) built in the 16th century Amazing authentic place very clean, the service is superb, the food very generous and delicious. This is a beautiful hotel and perhaps and nicest in Ankara. The caravanserai concept has been very well executed and of course the site in authentic. The public areas are very pleasing and the bar and restaurant. Rooms and ensuite and lobby are comfortable and well equipped with wifi fast enough for v/c. Position is superb and staff attentive without subservience. Service is outstanding. A benchmark against which the others can be measured but at the same price as other blander offerings. Highly recommended

The hotel was very beautiful and made the most of the theme of a caravan stop. The room was very comfortable and had lovely decorations. The bathroom was very elaborate, with a big tub, shower, and two sinks. The restaurant which served breakfast was delicious and had a spectacular view. The hotel is just across from the castle and a few minutes walk from the Anatolian Museum.

The property was impressive and the staff very sweet. It has a lot of character and the terrace restaurant is amazing. Turkish breakfast was incredible! It is located at the top of the historic district and with access to the old town. Very nice experience overall!

Beautiful rooms with unique decor, a kitchen with an outstanding chef. What makes this hotel shine, though, is the kindness of its staff. I had a fever and needed to seek treatment at a hospital (a daunting prospect for a non-Turkish speaker traveling alone). The front-desk supervisor took me there and stayed with me through the whole process. As I was recovering, the housekeeping and room service staff brightened my days with their smiles and nurtured my baby Turkish conversations. May all their days be long and prosperous.

I don’t know what VIP access is but in any event this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I work in tourism. Outstanding. Outstanding rooms. This hotel is a real museum and serious museum pieces are in each room. What a treasure. This hotel has an antique library! And a real museum attached to the hotel. Food in the restaurant with a view overlooking Ataturk’s tomb is outstanding. The staff are outstanding. The men who were managing the front desk were unbelievably helpful, professional and sophisticated. They go beyond the call of duty, certainly. On top of everything else, this hotel is a restored 490 year old caravansaray - the history is mind blowing. The building is in the area of the ancient castle and the entire area is like walking back in time 500 plus years ago. Did I say this place is outstanding? It is.

The property is interesting historically having been a caravanserai. It is next door to an interesting museum. You have free entrance to the museum as a guest of the hotel. The breakfast was huge. The only downside is that the castle neighbourhood has limited evening dinner choices .

Lovely restored boutique hotel. If you wish to stay in inns of yesteryears. Lots of photo opportunity and super spacious room. My favourite Hotel of my entire turkey trip:)

Fantastic refurbishment of old building into a great hotel. Great location right at the castle. Plenty of shopping in the neighborhood. Great museum in the hotel and next door. I'd highly recommend

Great location, walking distance to the museum and castle. Decoration meets the standard of “Boutique”. The view of the restaurant is fantastic. But if you want to have a swim or a Hammam, you have to go to another hotel by 15 mins driving/taxi. In addition, the air condition doesn’t work in one room of our group. Overall, it’s a unique hotel with special design. Recommended!

Beautiful historic building, rooms comfortable, nice restaurant terrace. Air con in the room didn’t work, but staff sent a maintenance guy to try and fix it straight away and when it couldn’t be fixed they swapped our room - great customer service.
