“Exceeded expectations”

We booked a 2 bedroom & a 1 bedroom apartment for a family reunion / long weekend in Adelaide. From the front desk greeting to the excellently appointed rooms, our stay was very enjoyable. Both rooms had just been renovated and the two bedroom had a couple of very small issues, when pointed out to reception the next morning, they were fixed by the time we returned later that evening. The location was so good; easy walking distance to the station, trams, and Rundall Mall. Bus to the airport was less than $3! The bathrooms were so large and easy to spread out in! The bed & linens were just scrumptious. Wish I had more time to spend in there! The kitchen facilities had every thing we required. The kids used the pool, sauna & steam room and enjoyed the experience. We would come back if we return to Adelaide.

“Overnight stay”

This was my first stay at this hotel and only an overnight stay. I arrived at the hotel at around midday and was told check-in is at 2pm which was fine, but when I arrived back at the hotel around 3pm after some shopping the room still wasn't ready. The room wasn't ready 'till 4pm which was disappointing. I would probably stay again because of the location and there's a nice cafe right next door. The staff were very nice too!

“Good location”

Great location being across the road from the convention centre, and near the shopping precinct. Tram and free loop bus right outside is handy too.

“All fine except the fixtures”

We stayed in a 2 bed room, it was very clean and neat, had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The maintenance on the room was sadly lacking however. The walls in the room on every wall were covered in chips and black marks from suitcases being dragged past, the tiles on the bathroom floor were clearly meant to be wall tiles, so they were chipped in lots of places and the shower head was fixed in place and pointed straight out the shower door. As soon as you turned the shower on, the bathroom floor was soaked. None of these things were deal breakers but I wouldn't be rating the hotel as 4.5 stars, as the Oaks website professes.

“Not a 4.5 Star Hotel”

This place is in a good location and the room is pretty clean. That is where the positives end. The Hotel is not 4.5 Stars at all. The two biggested down falls for the Hotel where the staff and room condition. Broken doors, no power at times, broken appilances & a TV from the 1970's. The staff where rude and unhelpfull. If you need anthing, dont expect them to bring it to your room, its pick up from the front desk only.

“Spacious rooms rude staff.”

This hotel is very convenient, the rooms are very spacious, including a large living area with most rooms. I have stayed here a number of times now as the relative room prices are also very good value. The staff on the other hand are consistently rude and non caring, although i find this with most Oaks hotels i have stayed at. It is very hard to get a car park despite requesting one at the time of booking. Despite this I keep going back as the rooms are comfortable.
