"The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient.
A few things…I had to wait one hour to get a bar of soap as there wasn’t any when I arrived.
The coffee pot in the room was not working. When they brought another one, I later noticed it did not have the tray that slides in and holds the coffee pod. When I asked for another one the next evening, I never received it.
The ice machine on the 3rd floor had no ice when I went for some Sat. night.
I used a “Sleep In” tag on my door for two...

"The staff are absolutely the best. We received some really good customer service. As soon as they learned we had an issue with our room toilet, they made every attempt to switch us out right away. Thry were amazing and treated us well."

"Upon checking in, we found the hotel undergoing a co.plete renovation. Most of the main lobby closed off and the bar moved to the restaurant. The elevators were also being renovated and taken out of service 1 or 2 at a time out of the 3. I would have expected Expedia to have some type of construction notice when booking. I always stay at the Southbank when in Jacksonville, but this had to be the most disappointing visit EVER!!! Call the hotel beforehand to confirm status of renovation to avoid...

"The rooms are in need of a major upgrade. Room on 1st floor reeked of mildew. Exhaust fan in the bathroom was inoperable. The ceiling had been painted over multiple times indicating this is not a new problem. There was not a single hook in the bathroom for a towel, hand towel or robe. The area of town was a bit sketchy. The decor was outdated- beat up wooden doors, carpeted baseboards, old shower head, etc. Silas at the front desk was nice & accomodated my request for another room. Breakfast was...

"Didn’t appreciate housekeeping knocking on doors at 8 am. They wouldn’t stop knocking until we got up to answer them. Then they told us to get out by 10 when we knew we had till 12. Called down to front desk to find out this is an on going problem. They apologized but if it’s ongoing why allow it. If you don’t want to wake up before 8:05 put out your sign. Also thanks for sparing 2 towels for 2 people. Plus 1 wash cloth."
