The area was pretty ghetto but on the flip side it made the hotel feel life our litte safe haven. The staff is nice and the room was okay. The shower was dandy. Don't rely on the breakfast. It's just pastries in plastic wrappers and coffee. If you are a fancy pantsy don't go there. But if you're chill like us and don't need a lot to enjoy yourself well you're good.

I had a single room with share bathroom. I was thinking it will be horrible, but not a close. The room was clean and calm. there is no noise and the stuff was very nice and polite. I was standing there for 3 night and it was very nice and comfortable.
This hotel wasn't the best hotel but it had what I needed for my stay. Some fast food restaurants nearby, it's located at the front of one of the principal streets; there is a convenience store at the corner. The only thing I was a little worry about was the parking. They have only 10 or 12 parking spaces for all the rooms. So, if you don't get one, you have to parking on the street, where you have to pay for the parking. But in my case I was lucky to find a place inside the hotel.
If you want to pay only $90/night like I did then you have to accept the condition of the hotel. Rooms are small, washrooms are very small and don't have a sink. 3 washrooms are shared by many rooms (they have private washrooms for higher prices). The shower is also very small. For the breakfast expect only a coffee and a donut. The bed is old, shaking and noising. For the WIFI you have to go to the lobbies because the signal doesn't reach upstairs.
If you're looking only for a place to sleep to during your stay or looking to discover San Francisco with lower budgets, then you may find this place ok for you. Check the hotel prices!!!
The location is central few steps from the BART station, the Muni light train and few blocks from the Powell St. line of the cable car. There are LOTS of homeless in the area but they seem friendly.

This is a favorite hotel given its location, convenience, cleanliness and friendly staff. The rooms are small but that is to be expected in central SF. Everything met my expectations at a reasonable price.

Very nice hotel. I loved that it was close to all the sights, the beach, shopping, and the bay. It liked the view from the hotel and the front door was locked at night for security. I got to see many sight. The room was confortable and the staff was very helpful. I traveled with family members and they really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The hotel was in a very good location, which made everything very accessive, even places to eat and interainment. I enjoyed my stay
